Since 1986, Silvhorn Automotive has serviced cars and trucks in British Columbia. At first located in Comox, the company was moved to the mainland in Pemberton, BC in 1999. Established by Bob Farrell, with 15 years of experience behind him in car mechanics at the time of the opening, Silvhorn provides Whistler and Pemberton Valley customers with vehicle repair and maintenance.

In 2003, Bob, then with more than 30 years of experience, brought Mike Dymus on board, with 15 years of experience at the time. Mike's natural mechanic and business skills made him the perfect fit as a business partner and part owner of Silvhorn.

Silvhorn Automotive's mission is to repairing your vehicle in a time-efficient and price-targeted approach, no matter what make or model. Silvhorn's day to day operations are based on a proven business model, developed by Mike, that allows the business to run every day of the year, without relying on one specific person.

When you come to Silvhorn, the diagnostic will be fast and reliable, you will receive an estimate and the day you bring your car in, all parts and equipment will have been ordered and ready at hand, allowing the mechanics to be focused on their task. At the end of the day, your vehicle will be serviced and ready for you to pick up at the scheduled time. This is the Silvhorn engagement.

Bob Farrell Born in Montreal, Bob came to BC in 1971. After trying almost any trade the province had to offer (including fishing and logging), Bob realized where his real passion laid. Car mechanics would be his life long obsession. Starting his own business early in Comox, Bob then moved to the Mainland and the Coast Mountains to Pemberton. Apart from engine repairs, Bob enjoys different artistic activities in his spare time, including oil painting. If you want to engage the conversation while waiting for your oil change, try sport fishing and ask him the size of his last trophy. You will feel like you were on the boat with him!

Mike Dymus Mike has always been interested in cars. And later on in engines. Combining both his life wishes, Mike completed his BC apprenticeship in 2001 and it only took him a couple years for his talent to be recognized and to be made business partner and part owner of a repair shop. Described by his partner as a genius when it comes to electronics on a vehicle, Mike will repair anything that comes in his hands. Mike's favourite place to be is in his shop. In addition to having his hands in grease, Mike also has his head in business. He implemented an efficient operation system at Silvhorn, proving to be time efficient and effective. In his little spare time, Mike enjoys family life and teaching car mechanics to his two children.
