About Pemberton Silvhorn Automotive

Since 1986, Silvhorn Automotive has serviced cars and trucks in British Columbia. At first located in Comox, the company was moved to the mainland in Pemberton, BC in 1999. Established by Bob Farrell, with 15 years of experience behind him in car mechanics at the time of the opening, Silvhorn provides Whistler and Pemberton Valley customers with vehicle repair and maintenance.

In 2003, Bob, then with more than 30 years of experience, brought Mike Dymus on board, with 15 years of experience at the time. Mike's natural mechanic and business skills made him the perfect fit as a business partner and part owner of Silvhorn.

Silvhorn Automotive's mission is to repairing your vehicle in a time-efficient and price-targeted approach, no matter what make or model. Silvhorn's day to day operations are based on a proven business model, developed by Mike, that allows the business to run every day of the year, without relying on one specific person.

When you come to Silvhorn, the diagnostic will be fast and reliable, you will receive an estimate and the day you bring your car in, all parts and equipment will have been ordered and ready at hand, allowing the mechanics to be focused on their task. At the end of the day, your vehicle will be serviced and ready for you to pick up at the scheduled time. This is the Silvhorn engagement.

Mike Dymus

Mike has developed a customer comes first approach at Silvhorn Automotive. He takes the time to explain to you the workings of your vehicle and repairs necessary…. Mike takes pride in making sure that you are comfortable and confident with the repairs that are performed on your vehicle.

Mike is a certified automotive technician. He graduated and completed the automotive training program at BCIT in 2001. Mike has always been interested in vehicles and continues to educate himself to stay current with today's technology. Mike uses his knowledge of vehicles and understanding of finances to give you the most cost effective means of keeping you safe and your vehicle running a reasonable price.

When it comes to automobile repairs, there are many options that are available to you. Mike takes the time to give you the options and pricing to fit your budget.

Bob Farrell

Born in Montreal, Bob came to BC in 1971. After trying almost any trade the province had to offer (including fishing and logging), Bob realized where his real passion laid. Car mechanics would be his life long obsession.

Starting his own business early in Comox, Bob then moved to the Mainland and the Coast Mountains to Pemberton.

Apart from engine repairs, Bob enjoys different artistic activities in his spare time, including oil painting.
