VEHICLE DRIVELINE
The
driveline is responsible for turning your axles, and your axle is
what rotates your wheels. The driveline is connected to the
differential and transmission through a series of universal
joints.
Because universal and CV joints are so important to your car it's a good idea to have them inspected every time your vehicle is up on the lift. If they are ever cracked or leaking in the boot, it can lead to severed damage to your vehicle.
If your vehicle ever vibrates during acceleration, it could be a sign of a faulty center bearing or loose U-joint. Likewise, if your hear a loud clunking while shifting, it could be time to have your u-joints replaced.
These sounds can also mean some other driveline problem. The best thing to do if you hear these noises is to bring your car in so our mechanics can take a look.
At Silvhorn our experienced mechanics can have your car on a lift and problem located in no time. So next time you hear roughness, clicking noises or squeaking make sure you come in to Silvhorn for an undercarriage inspection.
