Keeping your fuel injector clean helps keep your car at its peak performance.

Dirty fuel injectors can lead to high carbon monoxide emissions, which is terrible for the environment. They can also lead to poor acceleration, poor fuel economy, lower power, rough idling and an incorrect air/fuel mix.

Clogging up your fuel injector doesn’t take much, either. The openings in the fuel injector are about half the size of a pinhole. And it only takes a small blockage to cause your engine to misfire.

That’s why it’s so important to clean your fuel injectors every 27,000 kilometres. Cars with lots of clicks or that make a lot of regular trips are more susceptible to clogged fuel injectors.

So next time you’re in for a regular tune-up or inspection, ask your Silvhorn Automotive technician if it’s time for a fuel injector cleaning.
